Our 5 Day Stay Alive Guarantee

      I would like to thank you for visiting our website. We hope to make your shopping experience an enjoyable one. We strive to offer you the best quality livestock with minimal impact on reefs and the environment.

We guarantee that all livestock will arrive alive, and stay alive, for at least 5 days.

     If you have a loss within 5 days of receiving any livestock from us, we will gladly issue you a store credit that can be applied towards any future order. The following Terms and Conditions apply to our livestock guarantee:

  • You will receive a store credit for the exact amount of the livestock lost during the guarantee period, which can be applied to any future order. Shipping costs are not credited or refunded.
  • You must report any losses to us during the guarantee period to sales@homeraisedaquatics.com and include a picture of the dead animal. If you don't have a digital camera we may ask you to mail back the dead animal, so please do not dispose of the dead item until you have talked to us.
  • Someone must be present for delivery of your shipment on the first delivery attempt. If you feel the shipment arrived late you must contact us right away so that we can try to get a refund on the shipping cost. The only way shipping could be refunded is if the package was received late. You must tell us on the day of shipping and as soon as possible. No matter the condition of the package you must accept the package. If you refuse the shipment no refunds or store credit will be issued.
  • You are responsible to monitor the weather in your area and you should request a day for shipping that is not likely to cause a delay. Delays caused by weather are not covered under our guarantee or the guarantee of the shipping companies.
  • Your tank must be fully cycled and you must acclimate all livestock properly.
  • Using the Priority Mail shipping service will void this guarantee.
  • Algae cultures and rotifers are not guaranteed

Ordering Problems

     Our website is manually updated and sometimes an particular animal could be sold twice. Whoever purchased it first will be the first one to receive the animal. In the event this happens I will e-mail you before I ship out any order. If I cannot find a replacement I will leave it up to you to decide if you want the rest of your order or a refund. Refunds are only made via Paypal.

About Our Photos

     All our livestock photos are taken under 150 watt HQI XM bulbs and T5 actinic bulbs or under power compact with an affordable point and shoot digital camera. The photos we take usually do not do justice to the actual beauty of the coral. Many times the coral looks much better in person than it did in our photos. We do not alter our photos using any software other than to resize the photos. Also corals will look different under different types of lighting. The color of the coral is also dependant on conditions in your tank. Shipping stress could also affect the color of the corals. Most of the time corals that fade in color will regain their color after they recover from the shipping stress.
