                 Here at Home Raised Aquatics we pride ourselves with trying our best to use our resources wisely. We believe that by purchasing from us you can help reduce your carbon footprint compared to purchasing from others. The following 5 statements are reasons your purchase can help the environment.
  1. Most of our products are shipped from where they are created here in the USA. They will not travel around the world, from collector or breeder, to wholesaler, to pet store and finally to your house.  Our products go directly from the breeder to your home. This saves on gas, multiple packaging materials, holding vessels and much more.
  2. We recycle our packaging materials and some of our products use recycled containers as well.
  3. Here at Home Raised Aquatics we recycle all our paper and plastics that we need to discard.
  4. We also limit our own impact on the environment by choosing energy efficient equipment, captive bred products and recycled materials.
  5. We will continue to educate our customers and the public on ways to reduce the impact our hobby has on the environment.
